Church is about being together. But we're aware that it is not always possible to meet in person or that you might not yet be ready to and would prefer just to 'look in'. LIFE Course
Life What’s it all about? Is there more to it than just getting by or getting on? Making the most of it?Deep down we know there is, so we spend our lives searching for a sense of identity, purpose and love. Jesus claims he is the one who can give us these things and make sense of life.
Will you give three evenings to discover the claims of Jesus and, perhaps, discover real life?
How to use Zoom
Zoom is a video conferencing program that allows you to participate fully in our services, just as if you were there in person. You can see everyone else and even chat over coffee (though you have to boil the kettle yourself). It is simple to join, just click on the icon.
If you would like to give it a go, follow the instructions below to set it up for the first time. Don't forget, if you want to participate fully, you will need a microphone and webcam. If you are using a laptop, tablet or mobile phone, they will most probably have a microphone and webcam built in. If you are using a desktop, you will need to plug one in.
Setting up Zoom for the first time?
Follow the steps below!
1. Click the Zoom icon above.
2. Click 'Agree and proceed'.
3. Click ‘Close’
4. A download should begin automatically; if not, click ‘download & run Zoom’.
5. Run the download by clicking on it or clicking ‘Run’.
6. A box will appear asking ‘Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?’ You may need to click the flashing button at the bottom of your screen if the box is hidden.
7. Click ‘Yes’.
8. You will then be able to join the meeting. If it has started yet, while you are waiting you can click ‘Test Computer Audio’ to check that you will be able to hear everyone else and vice versa: click ‘Test Speaker’ and ‘Test Mic’. When both are working, click the X to go back to wait for the meeting to start.
